Thorough and consistent cleaning of baby teeth is particularly important, as it affects both speech development and the alignment of the permanent teeth that follow. It is therefore worthwhile to introduce children to brushing their teeth in a playful and enjoyable way from the very beginning.

Elmex children's toothpaste is specially formulated for children between 2 and 6 years old to thoroughly clean their milk teeth. The amine fluoride, with an age-appropriate fluoride concentration*, provides triple protection against cavities while being gentle on gums. The calcium fluoride layer protects tooth enamel from cavity-related mineral loss and remineralizes any minerals that have already been lost. This makes milk teeth more resistant to cavities. With its mild flavor and scientifically tested formula, this children's toothpaste is suitable for daily use.

For optimal results in the care of milk teeth, we recommend the additional use of the elmex children's toothbrush 2-6.

Directions : Brush teeth twice daily with a pea-sized amount of toothpaste. From age 6, use elmex Junior toothpaste with 1400 ppm amine fluoride and a suitable flavor. To avoid excessive swallowing, supervise brushing. Consult a dentist or doctor if additional fluoride is being ingested.

What amount of fluoride is safe for toddlers and babies? The German Dental Association recommends that children between 2 and 6 years old use a pea-sized amount of toothpaste with 1,000 ppm fluoride daily. For children under two years old, the recommended daily amount is a rice-grain-sized amount with 1,000 ppm fluoride or a pea-sized amount of toothpaste with 500 ppm fluoride. (Most children's toothpastes contain between 1,000 and 1,400 ppm fluoride.)
